Cathay Pacific Airways is an international airline registered and based in Hong Kong operating passenger and freight services to some 200 destinations around the world.
Cathay Pacific is deeply committed to Hong Kong. The airline has made huge investments to develop the local aviation industry and further enhance Hong Kong’s position as a leading international aviation hub and gateway to Mainland China.
The airline operates a fleet of approximately 145 aircraft, while the combined fleets of Cathay Pacific, wholly owned subsidiary Cathay Dragon and Air Hong Kong, an all-cargo carrier in which Cathay Pacific has a majority shareholding, now is almost 200 aircraft. The airline is set to take delivery of over 50 new aircraft through to 2024, giving it one of the youngest and most efficient fleets in the sky.
Other significant investments made by Cathay Pacific include catering, ground-handling and maintenance companies. In 2014, the airline officially unveiled its cargo terminal at Hong Kong International Airport.
